Nursing Care

Nursing Care

Sometimes it can be difficult for you to know whether someone requires nursing care or residential care. We can help you with advice but, broadly speaking, would suggest that Nursing care is appropriate for those people who need a qualified nursing team available to them 24 hours a day. This need may have arisen for a variety of different reasons. For example, it may be due to a serious illness such as a stroke or heart attack. Other nursing residents may have complex physical needs, long-term conditions or may require intravenous feeding. All, or any, of these conditions would require the specialist attention and care that only nursing staff can deliver.

At United Health, our approach to Nursing Care is that it should be individual, agreed with the resident and their families, and always delivered in a way that ensures dignity and privacy at all times. We develop individual care plans in conjunction with our residents and their families, and often involve their GP and other medical team members. It is very important to us that choice and respect for personal wishes is maintained even though a resident may be highly dependent.

We offer nursing care at our Lincoln and Scunthorpe care homes, and we have experienced nursing staff at both who are dedicated to doing everything they can to make life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for our residents.

We hope you will visit us to see for yourself the high quality care we deliver to all our nursing residents.
