Way back in 2007, Beth Morrish applied to be a Care Assistant at Bunkers Hill. It soon became obvious that she was not only committed to her job but also that she wanted to progress and develop in her career caring for others.
In 2011 she was promoted to become Home Coordinator and then in 2014 she was promoted again to become Deputy Manager. In 2017 she took on more responsibility when the role of the then Manager, Hazel, changed. Seeing her grow in to the role we were very keen that she progressed further to become the Registered Manager.
Well yesterday a justifiably proud Beth was able to do just that and display her Registered Manager’s Certificate from CQC in the home. This was the culmination not only of a lot of hard work but also continuous commitment, on her part, to ensuring the delivery of excellent care at Bunkers.
However for Beth it does not stop there. She looks forward to her new role and is determined to bring a lot of energy and innovative ideas to her new position so that Bunkers Hill starts a new era delivering even better care than before.
Beth’s story is a great example of how at United Health we believe in home grown talent and will always help it develop given commitment and dedication.
We thought you should know a bit more about Bunker’s new Manager, so for a brief insight we asked her a couple of questions.
Apparently the one thing she can’t do without is her mobile phone….strange – as sometimes it doesn’t get answered!
As for Musical tastes ….well her Desert Island Discs would definitely include Kings of Leon, Mumford & Sons and The Beatles….we always knew Beth would have liked to have been around in the 60s!
We also asked her to tell us something no one knows about her…..all we are going to say is make sure you don’t drive the streets of Lincoln at the same time as Beth…..she took 297 driving lessons before passing her test! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Everyone wishes Beth well in her new role, and looks forward to great things happening at Bunkers Hill.
