Barford Children’s Services offer Therapeutic Care and Education to Looked after Children aged 8-18, who have complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.
In this role you will need to employ a range of approaches both non directive and focused with an emphasis on communication and integration. You will be able to make effective formulation for individuals and understand importance of working together.
Therapists attend all professionals’ meetings and providewritten reports. Consultation is provided to whole staff teams to ensure reflective practice and appropriate therapeutic care interventions. One to one work with key workers enables the building of effective and nurturing sustainable relationships with young people.
Previous experience of working with both children and adults is essential.
Suitable candidates must be qualified and registered by recognised professional bodies.
Full driving licence essential.
The post is for 16 hours per week and the role attracts a salary starting at £30,000 pa pro rata dependent on experience. 90 hours of paid leave pro rata attaches to the post, inclusive of bank holidays.
