We are looking for Residential Childcare Workers to work at Oak Farm House in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside.
About the Role:
Oak Farm House offers short stay residential provision for children aged between 5yrs and 16yrs. The home will offer breaks ranging from 2 days up to 17 days at a time. To join us in this exciting new opportunity we are looking for people with enthusiasm, energy and commitment to work with young people who live in residential care. The home will be activity based and include a variety of educational themes in our daily living.
You will be responsible to the Manager for the day to day running of the home, and delivering high quality care to the young people in our care.
You will be expected to follow company policies and procedures and ensure the home is compliant with The Childrens Homes Regulations and promote and safeguard the welfare of young people at all times.
We are looking for someone who is caring, committed, active, friendly and mature in outlook.
You will need to be able to work well under pressure and adapt to quickly changing circumstances.
You should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the resilience to manage challenging behaviour.
You will need a full UK driving licence.
You will either already have or be willing to undertake a QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
