At United Health we care for people across the East Midlands. We do this around the clock, across a number of different care categories, through teams of professional and dedicated staff members. As a professional company we understand how difficult delivering great care can be.
For some 6.5 million carers across the UK this task is done without pay, often supporting a family member or friend who has a disability or illness. We want to draw attention to all those carers across the East Midlands in particular, who give of themselves selflessly day in and day out.
Which is why we want to draw your attention to Carers Week. The week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important caring is.
Caring can be a hugely rewarding experience but sometimes carers find it challenging to take care of their own well-being whilst caring. The impact of caring on someone’s health and well-being should not be underestimated this Carers week.
We want to publicly recognise the fantastic work these carers do and to offer our support for Carers Week across the East Midlands and the rest of the country.
